Director Ameer knows how to make good cinema for the audiences and Ram is a perfect example, when he asked me to star in Paruthi Veeran I immediately jumped at it.
Being a thorough city bred, how did you manage a film on Madurai nativity?
At the outset, I must thank the director as he has given me a wonderful and important role with trust. He asked me to mingle with the local populace there to learn their body language and it was a great experience as they were very friendly. I felt like I was on a holiday.
What about Karthi?
He is very simple and friendly; none can predict that Paruthi Veeran is his debut. He has done his role well and is a good actor.
Recent Happiness?
I was introduced by Bharathiraja and after that I acted under Balu Mahendra. At that moment, I was glad for acting with big names, now I am happy with the success of Paruthi Veeran.
Next Projects....
I am doing a film with Junior NTR titled Ema Thonga and with Raja a film titled Toss.
Glamour Roles?
Definitely no, every one should see that I have acted well and none must tell that I have mere glamour. I need recognition as a good actor.
Whether for getting an award, you had used your own voice in this film?
Why would I not wish to get an award, I did as ordered by the director and the film is doing commercially well as well. It will surely reap awards in its wake.
